Ad Dynamo Local Beta guarantees 50,000 contextually relevant, locally targeted ad views
Businesses across the UK targeting their local communities are now guaranteed 50,000 ad views in a specific area for just £40. Ad Dynamo Local Beta – from global contextual advertising marketplace Ad Dynamo – enables even the smallest micro businesses to target their local communities with relevant online ads. The service includes free banner and website creation to help make British micro businesses’ first steps onto the Internet as easy, cost-effective and successful as possible.
Recent figures from the OECD revealed that Britain is the biggest online shopping nation in the world. Yet in spite of this the UK has the developed world’s fifth lowest number of businesses using the Internet, with over 60 per cent of the UK’s micro businesses failing to use online advertising to reach customers.
Sean Riley, CEO of Ad Dynamo, said: “The government recently announced the twelve towns to be ‘Portas Pilots’, the prime beneficiaries of last year’s high street review by ‘Queen of Shops’ Mary Portas. In a nation that has increasingly migrated online, retailers, local councils and community groups in those towns and areas that have missed out on the Portas scheme need to use online ads to coax local residents out from behind their computer screens and into their stores.
“Most small, local and micro businesses don’t have time to worry about designing online ads, monitoring performance or any of the other stuff a larger company’s marketing department would take care of. Ad Dynamo Local Beta cuts out the hassle for small businesses, providing free banner creation and free website services as well as 50,000 guaranteed ad views for £40. It also reports on ad performance in a clear, easy to understand weekly automated email.”
95% of UK businesses can be described as micro businesses, having less than ten employees and under £1.7m in revenue. However they account for nearly one fifth of the UK economy, turning over an aggregate of more than £613 billion each year, yet only 31 per cent of these micro businesses use online advertising to reach their customers. Ad Dynamo Local Beta delivers each micro business 50,000 ad views across its network of 28,000 publishers including Facebook to reach relevant local audiences. This provides micro businesses with highly specific, locally targeted online advertising on a budget, but crucially without sacrificing reach.
Riley said: “Ad Dynamo’s mission is to help advertisers to spend less, while helping publishers to earn more. Most people forget that many publishers – such as local and regional newspapers – are small businesses too, and that they’ve also had to adapt to the new online environment. A consequence of the much reported decline of print media is a rise in the number of daily visitors to regional news websites, which increased by more than 25 per cent in the first half of 2011, according to figures released by the Audit Bureau of Circulation. Ad Dynamo Local Beta supports publishers like regional news organisations with a totally transparent revenue sharing model and a low payment threshold of £20, which makes it the world’s fastest paying online ad network.”
Although still in beta stage, the service is now available to businesses in all towns and cities in the UK. The full launch of Ad Dynamo Local will see the contextual advertising marketplace start localised online advertising hubs in individual towns and cities across the UK.
