Today Ad Dynamo announced that it will be retiring its ad network product to allow us as a business to focus on developing our relationship with Twitter. As a business, we have a remarkable opportunity as Twitter’s official ad sales partner in Africa, and we are looking to focus on doing one thing particularly well.
This has been a tough decision that we’ve grappled with for some time. Ad Dynamo’s roots are in our ad network, the very first product that we launched in 2009. Over the past 6 years we’ve had tremendous support in Africa from over 60,000 publishers. We built a business that pays out publishers faster than any competitor, and delivers competitive results for advertisers.
Saying goodbye to the ad network isn’t easy, and over the next couple of weeks we will be supporting our publishers to migrate to alternative networks. I’d like to take this opportunity on behalf of all of us at Ad Dynamo to say Thank You to every advertiser and publisher that we’ve worked with over the years. We appreciate the support. We built this together & we won’t forget that.
Ultimately we believe this decision will allow us to develop Twitter’s presence with singular focus. Everyone within Ad Dynamo has been migrated to the Twitter team so there is no negative consequence for any employees.
We hope to work with many of you in our role as Twitter’s official sales partner in the future. We have been extending Twitter advertising to brands in Africa for over a year now & are excited about ramping our presence up even further in the future.
